Remembering Robert Gilmore

Our friend Robert Gilmore

Today the Grove Medical family remembers and celebrates Robert A. Gilmore, Jr., husband, father, friend and co-worker.

Robert was employed at Grove from October, 8 2007 to April 13, 2010 and touched all of our lives.  Had you been lucky enough to know Robert you couldn’t have missed the fact that he was a very kind and gentle man and although he struggled mightily during his battle with cancer he always remained positive and stayed dedicated to his family, friends and co-workers.

In Robert’s honor we will be dedicating a Natchez Crape Myrtle, his favorite tree, at our employee entrance.  For us it will serve as a reminder of the person he was and the kind of person we should be…thank you Robert, you will continue to be in our hearts and thoughts.

As requested by Robert and his family please consider the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, the American Cancer Society, Interim Healthcare Hospice and Dunean Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, organizations who helped support and provide comfort to Robert and his family.

Robert A. Gilmore, Jr. August 12, 1947 to April 13, 2010.
