New Skin Wellness System by Kendall

Our friends at Kendall, a part of Covidien, have introduced their new Skin Wellness System in an effort to be the complete partner in providing top notch care for your patients.  Kendall’s system is designed to cleanse, moisturize, protect and treat skin and when you use each of the products in the line you can very effectively care for damaged skin, especially damage caused by incontinence.

The products in Kendall’s Skin Wellness System contain jojoba oil, a natural extract from the seeds of the jojoba plant that very closely resembles the oils found in our skin.  This resemblance allows the jojoba oil to be easily absorbed into the skin and with repeated application the moisturizing and skin protection effects of the jojoba oil are maximized.

As mentioned before you’ll find in this program products to cleanse, moisturize, protect and treat skin.  There are two no rinse cleansing options (Body Wash and Shampoo and 2-in-1 Cleanser), three options for moisturizing (Moisturizing Lotion, Moisture Barrier Cream and Soothing Ointment), one option for protection (Antimicrobial Cleanser) and one for treatment (Antifungal Cream).

The Close of Summer is on its Way

Labor Day is coming up marking the close to a VERY hot summer and an opportunity for another long weekend!  With that in mind we need to announce that all of our carriers, as well as Grove, will be closed on Monday September 5th in observance of the holiday.  What this means for us and our partners  is that no pick ups or deliveries of orders will be made on that Monday so we need to prepare.

To ensure that you have all of the medical supplies you need before the weekend please place your order with us by Wednesday, August 31st.  And remember there are several ways to do this, you can visit our website, email or call your Customer Service Representative or fax your order in to 864-220-1745.

NASVH Summer Conference

We’ve just returned from the NASVH Summer Conference in Burlington, VT and had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.

I have to say that it’s so great to be surrounded by folks who’s primary focus is caring for those who have served our great country!  We take tremendous pride in being a medical supply distribution partner for several of the State Veterans Homes and in showcasing new and innovative products to help provide outstanding care.

Fougera Temporarily Discontinues Products

We’ve just received word from Fougera that two of their products that we carry have been temporarily discontinued and wanted to make you all aware.

For reasons unknown Fougera has temporarily discontinued both items 0053-16 White Petrolatum 1lb Jar and 0053-45 White Petrolatum 5g Foil Packs.  Luckily we have substitute items available for both sizes; PJ13 Petroleum Jelly 13oz for the one pound jar and PJF Petroleum Jelly Foil Packs for the 5g foil packs.  Please log onto our website, http://www.GroveMedical.com or contact your Sales or Customer Service Representative for pricing and further information on the subs. Upgrades to Attends Products

More than 30 years ago Attends created the Adult Incontinence product category.  Today they’re still making improvements to their products to bring you some of the best offerings the market has to offer.  As your medical supply distribution partner we take it upon ourselves to keep you informed about these changes to the products you use and to offer further insight and support.

 1.   Better Tape Fastening System

• Benefits:
  • Greater Security-Tape tabs are meant to secure the brief. Better adhesion allows users to have a greater sense of security while wearing our breathable brief products. 
  • Less Flagging-The new style tab has repositioned 80% of the adhesive away from the finger lift and eliminated 50% of the long release tape portion of the tab. This reduces the prevalence of open tapes in the production process ensuring a more consistent product to customers and consumers.
  • Glove Friendly-The new style tab maintains our industry-leading Comfort-Flex tape design while limiting the concern of tab adhesive sticking to caregivers’ glove.

2.  New Packaging for Quickable Dry Wipes

• The printing on the inner bags of our dry wipes have changed from green to Attends® Blue.
• Benefits:
• Stronger Brand – Following the re-launch of the Attends brand in the summer of 2010, Attends has continued to find ways to strengthen their message in the Adult Incontinence category. Standardizing this message and updating packaging helps reinforce this effort and provides better value and consumer loyalty for those you serve.
